Every event is an opportunity to bring people together, celebrate kindness and help make a difference to families facing the heartbreak of losing a child.
At The Henry Nowak Foundation, we believe that even the simplest moments of togetherness can have a lasting impact. Whether it’s an evening of entertainment, a sporting challenge or a community celebration, every event helps us raise awareness, build connections and work towards our vision of supporting bereaved families.
Inspired by Henry’s kindness and the love he brought into so many lives, we and members of the community are planning a variety of fundraising events that we hope will bring smiles, create special memories and help keep Henry’s light shining.
Events we’re planning
Something for everyone, with one shared purpose
We’re working with friends, families, local businesses and community groups to bring a range of exciting fundraising events to life. Here are some of the activities we’re currently planning.
Race Night
An evening of excitement, friendly competition and plenty of laughter at Aveley Football Club. An opportunity for local businesses to join us for a fun-filled race night where colleagues, friends, families and supporters can come together, enjoy themselves and raise funds for a meaningful cause.
Basketball Event
Bringing our community together through sport at Harris Academy. With the support of the local community, a parent of one of Henry’s friends is planning a basketball event that celebrates teamwork, friendship and the joy of taking part.
5K Charity Run
Every step can make a difference. The Chafford Hundred Running Group are organising a 5k charity run. Whether you’re an experienced runner, taking on your first 5K or simply want to support from the sidelines, this planned charity run will be an opportunity to come together and raise funds in Henry’s memory.
Magic Night
An evening filled with wonder, surprises and unforgettable moments at Aveley Football Club. We’re planning a special magic night that will bring people of all ages together for entertainment, laughter and a little bit of magic.
Celebrity Football Match
With the support of Selebrity Soccor and Aveley Football Club we will be hosting a day of football, entertainment and community spirit. We’re hoping to bring together familiar faces, local supporters and football enthusiasts for a special charity match, raising funds and awareness while creating a memorable day for everyone involved.
Golf Society Dads Day
A day of golf, friendship and fundraising. Our planned golf society event will offer an opportunity for players and supporters to enjoy a great day together while helping the Foundation continue its work.
Christmas Tree Fundraising at Tesco
Christmas is a time for kindness, generosity and remembering those we love. We’re planning a festive fundraising activity at Tesco, bringing a little Christmas spirit to the community while raising awareness and support for the Foundation, subject to arrangements being confirmed.
